If you’re looking for a quieter side of Los Angeles, you don’t necessarily have to leave the city. Tucked into the southern edge of Griffith Park, Ferndell Trail is one of those places that makes Los Angeles feel unexpectedly peaceful. The trail winds beneath a canopy of trees alongside a small seasonal stream, creating a shaded, almost woodland-like environment that feels worlds away from the traffic and pace of the city.
It’s one of my favorite reminders that living in Los Angeles can mean having access to both city life and nature in the same afternoon.
